Our Church Staff

Pastor:

Rev. Carol Rahn is our Pastor. She holds degrees from Cornell University and Columbia Theological Seminary. She has completed a residency in pastoral counseling at the Georgia Association for Pastoral Care and taken post graduate course work in marriage and family counseling through the University of Georgia. She received a Certificate in Gerontology and Religion from Georgia State University and is a fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. She received training in interim pastor and also has extensive experience in ministry to homeless populations. On the presbytery level she has served on the Committee on Preparation for the Ministry, been a reader for ordination exams, and been trained as a spiritual mentor for church leaders. Carol is married and has three grown children.

Secretary:

Wynn Duffey has been Church Secretary since 1990. She holds degrees from Colby Community College and St. Mary of the Plains College. She is active in the Choir, teaches Sunday School, and serves as Clerk of the Session. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Genesis-Thomas County, Inc., and on the Colby High School Alumni Association Board. Wynn and her husband, Ray, have a son, Cody.

Treasurer:

Susan Orr has served as Treasurer since 1998. In addition to serving as our treasurer, Susan is a customer service representative at Sunflower Bank in Colby. She promotes Colby through involvement in Leadership Thomas County and employment at the local Ramada Inn.

Organist:

Vicki Edgar has been our Church Organist since 1988. Along with spending many hours practicing the organ and piano for worship and accompanying the Choir, Vicki is a full-time second grade teacher for the Colby Public Schools.
